[SOLVED] Update google to version 88 now icon in taskbar shows blue ring

In geek it had a suggestion to check updates I updated Chrome in settings now the Icon at the bottom of screen in taskbar shows a blue ring in the lower right corner ? I inquired from another computer user he said his chrome was up to date, however didn't have the new icon or blue ring, attach is a screen shot do I need to Uninstall chrome and reinstall.
Thanks in advance.

look like an overlay from something else. like on a shortcut

A few possibilities:

its showing you have a notification
Might be a feature that has been on MacOS for a while, could be about a download - https://superuser.com/questions/155...y-chrome-icon-and-i-do-not-know-why-its-there
