Update on Dell

I had a discussion yesterday about the Dell OptiPlex 960 & 980 but got replies to just not use those. Does anybody know a good dell model under $430 that can run high-profile graphics cards that you would recommend? Thanks.

Unfortunately, no.

If you want to use a Dell system for gaming, you should really look at Dell Gaming Computers. Unfortunately (again), you're not going to easily find those at your price range. Most new, quality, off-the-shelf, gaming systems start at around $1200. You're going to be hard pressed to find any quality gaming system for your budget.

Yeesh. That's gonna punch a big hole in my wallet. One question, do you think a Dell Inspiron 560 with an upgraded card and psu would be good for t least medium setting at best??

If you're willing to drop the cost of this system plus $200 for the cost of an entry level gaming card and new, quality, power supply, then yeah. You should be able to play most average games at medium settings.

Well thank you again Wolf. This whole thing is making me feel so much better about the PC I want to buy and it won't hurt my budget much.
