Hi, all!

My build is as follows:
  1. MSI Z270 SLI mobo
  2. i5-6600K overclocked to 4.2
  3. Nvidia RTX 2080
  4. 16GB Vengeance DDR4
  5. Corsair 650M PSU
My problems:
  1. I'm currently able to run the game in 1440p on RT medium but the game dips below 30 FPS quite frequently.
  2. I'd like to build a system that is capable of running the game in 4K on RT ultra
  3. I don't know whether I should upgrade what I have to do this or just buy a whole new PC
Money is not an issue although I'm aware that availability of RTX 3090s is or the fact the 3080ti hasn't been released yet. This isn't something I have to rush as I've already beaten the main game and I'm building this for when they iron out all the bugs and start pumping out DLCs + expansions. What are your recommendations? Thanks so much!

Solution
I'd jump to an I9-9900k, i10 or i11 when they become available. i5-6600k seems like a bit of a bottleneck for 3080 or 3090.
Another thing I would look to upgrade would be your PSU to a 850W atleast, just so you don't have to worry about what you're powering.
Then I would roll with a 3080 or 3080ti when they become available, the 3090 is twice the price of a 3080 for a ~10% performance boost.
Use the savings you got opting for the 3080 for one of those shiny new 4k 32" 144hz monitors Acer just gave us an update on. They'll be out in May.

Solution
With an RTX 2080, I would skip the new RTX 3000 series (at least for now, prices are insane).

You should really get more FPS with a better CPU, and basically today even a basic Ryzen 3 3300X is a better CPU than yours.

So your idea is a complete new system, want us to list you the "build"?, If thats the case, Where in the world are you?
