Updated intel graphics card to microsoft basic display accidently

So I updated the onboard intel graphics card thinking it'll perform better, but it turned into "Microsoft basic display" driver, which makes it worse than the old "Intel HD 4400" graphics it was on. Reason im using onboard graphics is that my NVIDIA geforce 820m is worse than the onboard intel hd 4400 graphics for some reason. Is there a way to revert the intel driver/ any reason causing the nvidia gpu to perform worse? My laptop's a HP 15-r004ne notebook. Thanks

The 820m is inherently worse than the integrated iGPU.

First, use DDU to clean your current display drivers: http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html
Then install teh altest driver from here, assuming you are on W10 x64: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26079/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-10-15-40-4th-Gen-?product=81497
