I finally updated up to Win 11 Pro and so far disappointed. I thought I had chosen to save all my programs when asked and noticed that my Firefox browser, Thunderbird client mail, amohg some others were not included. I did see on the 'desktop' my firefox icon and when i clicked on that, I got a message that it was an older shortkey and could not be found. I believe I still have the option to revert bact to Win 10 if I am not satisfied with Win 11. I hate the hassle of reinstalling programs.

Use Macrium Reflect to make back ups so you don't go through this again!
I use the free version, it works for my needs and just to help convince you, I did clean installs on 2 desktop PC's with Windows 10 Pro.

I downloaded and installed software programs that I use daily-browsers, Microsoft Office, trading software, etc.
I got everything up and running the way I wanted it and then I used Macrium Reflect to make a back up of both PC's.

I wanted to see how well it worked on backing up my hard drive and to see how well it did to restore my systems on both computers soon after setting them up the way I wanted. I certainly didn't want to find out later, after however long it would have taken to have something go wrong and after using the PC for awhile.

I then proceeded to wipe the hard drives like I was going to do a clean installation. Once that was done, I followed the directions I printed out to restore my hard drive using the Macrium Reflect back up (stored on another hard drive on the same PC) along with the USB stick you need for it, and Voila.....

It worked like a charm, I was back up and running, all programs fully installed, within minutes of starting the Macrium Reflect back up process.

It was flawless! I now do a back up weekly on my two desktop computers and on my wife's laptop.

You won't go wrong using Macrium Reflect to make a back up of your system/hard drive.

I believe there are other programs that can do similar back ups but I used Macrium Reflect for the first time and it worked. I was quite happy with the results.

The paid version gives you more options but the free version is working for me.

That is the problem....i tried to do search, but nothing comes up except that windows allows to go back within 10 days of update. I did a system info and it shows all about the system, but do not see a date. BTW, doesn't windows save win 10 in the event someone wants it back? Where did windows put it? I do not know what title to look for.
