Updating Bios - everything freezes - instant flash aseock b150m pro4v

I get into BIOS and go all the way over "advanced" --> "tools" --> "instant flash".
When I press instant flash it shows the version and I want to click on it to confirm but suddenly my mouse is frozen and my keyboard too. It's like everything just freezes literally nothing works, I have to press the power button to restart.

My USB is FAT-32. Keyboard and mouse worked beforehand.

Try loading bios defaults, save and exit then reboot back into the bios, sounds like the instaflash feature is playing up.
