I am looking to upgrade my CPU from a Ryzen 5 1600 to a Ryzen 5 3600. I know both of these are supported by my motherboard which is a Gigabyte AB350-Gaming-CF.

Version F40 states the following:
- If you are using Q-Flash Utility to update BIOS, make sure you have updated BIOS to F31 before F40.
- Before update BIOS to F40, you have to install EC FW Update Tool (B19.0517.1 or later version) to avoid 4DIMM DDR compatibility on 3rd Gen AMD Ryzen™ CPU.
- Update BIOS from F4 (my current version) to F31.
- Run the EC FW Update Tool - Download found here: https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-AB350-Gaming-rev-1x/support#support-dl-utility
- Update BIOS from F31 to F40.
