updating bios vista 32 bit

im on an old latop and in the midst of updating drivers. Ita a windows vista 32 bit, dell 1545 inspiron. There is an update on dell website asking that i confirm an update BIOS A14 from an A2 , not to sure if i should click yes, any advice please ? thanks

That's a big gap in versions. There may very well be some needed updates. I always recommend there be a valid need for the bios update. Sounds like yours is very old. Just use caution and follow all directions. Failure to do so can brick your system.

yeh its old lol dont really think its causing me any problems so think i shall just leave it , thanks for getting back so quick, im in the midst of trying to access internet via wireless but not there yet, just away to load the wireless driver so may be back on another board for help, glad i found you all. ta Linda
