Updating my BIOS (which format)

Troubleshooting my PC trying to narrow down a black screen issue, heard there are some big risks with flashing up your bios, just wondering which format you flash drive need to be and which file in the bios zip folder to drag over to flash! thanks

Typically FAT32, which is what you will find on most flash drives anyway.

Should also be a manual utility available in the BIOS itself. There should only be one file that makes sense to be a BIOS.

It was successful, however I have to keep manually booting into my SSD to get my OS to boot, any idea of how to get it to automatically boot? I can't find my SSD in the bios load order anywhere?

Hmm, not sure. What kind of SSD? What mode are the SATA controllers in? (If not RAID or AHCI you'll be wanting to re-install Windows)

I'll look through the BIOS manual and see if anything jumps out.

Nothing in the little drag and drop boot priority graphics? I didn't really see a legacy mode for setting the boot order in the more traditional sense, might be the only option.

Secure boot is likely turned off, so I doubt that is it.

Finally found it, it required me to unplug/replug both sata cables for SSD & HDD, then after it had a manfacturer screen option, I had to just disable that, it must have enabled it when flashing. Again thanks for the help man
