Hello there!!

I was wondering if I could get some suggestions as to what I could salvage from my current build, when upgrading my graphics card?

Build:
CPU:AMD FX 6300
MOBO:Asus M5A97_R20
RAM: Kingston HyperX fury Blue single stick of 4GB
GPU: Sapphire 2GB r9 270x
PSU: Seasonic m12II 620w
HDD: Seagate 1TB drive
SSD: N/A
Case Fractal Arc Midi R2

I do intend to move to an intel build too, depending on the response here.

BUDGET: €1500

Solution
so I don't know where you're from but this is a suggestion.
you could of course go with an i7-6700k as CPU as well
as of today the difference in gaming is negligible between the CPUs

CPU: Intel Core i5-6600K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor (£213.34 @ Aria PC)
CPU Cooler: be quiet! Dark Rock 3 67.8 CFM Fluid Dynamic Bearing CPU Cooler (£53.99 @ Novatech)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z170X-UD3 ATX LGA1151 Motherboard (£124.70 @ More Computers)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 Memory

Solution

You can give Microsoft a phone-call and they will transfer your Windows license to your new build.

Cheers hope this saved you $100.

I didn't know that, but from what I do know, it's become a machine operator (non-human) responder for the key transfer process, so at least that makes it easier.
