I have a home made AMD (am+3)cpu on an asus m5a99fx pro r2.0 approx 8 yr old. it contains 16 GB of Kingston HyperBeast KHX21C11T3K 2/16 1.6v.memory . I want to upgrade to 32GB . Kingston seems not to make this memory any more ( nothing noted on internet) The motherboard ist. states it will support 32 Gb of 1333MHZ . the kingston has work great since new. I purchased 32GB of G-Skill F-3-1333CL 9-9-9 24 1.50v. plug&Playmemory. First I placed two sticks of the G-skill in the open slots and computer booted up stating only had 15.6 useful memory. I then changed the order of the Kingston and G-skill and the memory registered 24GB. worked all day in that configuration turned off, booted next morning would not post. after several tries I took the G-Skill out and it booted
as normal. I then took the Kingston's out and replaced with all G-Skill(32GB) would not boot.
took the out and replaced kingston (16Gb) booted just fine. All I want is to increase to 32GB. What memory should I be looking for????

Here is the qvl list of supported ram for your motherboard:
https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/SocketAM3+/M5A99FX_PRO_R20/M5_R20_Series_DRAM_QVL_1127.pdf?_ga=2.258693642.1613960129.1546701192-162273209.1546447590

As an alternative, go to a ram web site like Kingston or g.skil and enter your motherboard.
You will get a list of supported 32gb ram kits.

In the mean time, see if increasing the ram voltage a bit will help you get what you now have running.

Use memtest86 to test the ram.
You should complete a full pass with NO errors.

Are you on the latest BIOS update for your motherboard while you were on the Kingston ram kit? Speaking of ram, you shouldn't mix and match. You also forgot to include the OS you were on and you need to state if you were on an overclock on your CPU+the make and model of your CPU. Do you have a link for the specific kit of G'Skill rams you currently own?

MERGED QUESTION
Question from dperkins1492 : "updating old Kingston 240pin 1333mhz memory"

I have a home built AMD(AM+3) cpu on a Asus M5A99FX Pro R2.0 mother board. Now contains 16GM of Kingston Hyper Beast KHX21C11T3K 2/16 1.6v memory. It appears Kingston does
not make this product any more(Found no info on internet). I purchased 32GB of G-Skill
Sniper F-3_1066CL9GBSR DDr3- 1333 CL 9-9-9 24 1.50v . I placed 2 of the G-Skill into the
MB. along with the Kingston computer booted system showed only 15.6GB of usable memory.
I changed the order of the Kingston & G-Skill on MB system then showed 24GB. worked all rest
of day just fine. turned off, rebooted next morning and would not boot tried several time no good.
Took the G-Skill out and booted as usual. I then took out the Kingston and replaced with 32GB
of the G-Skill would not boot. Took them out replaced Kingston and booted just fine.
I want just to increase mem to 32gb. What memory should I be looking for???

The motherboard make/model is what you want.
If you do not know it, download and run cpu-z which will tell you.
