updation my bios to support my new gpu

I was attempting to update my bios, I got the file from the asus website, extracted to a fat 32 usb, plugged it into the flashback port. I then pushed the flashback button for 3 seconds, it blinked twice, and now has a solid light,

my mother board is an asus m5a97 r2.0 the graphics card is a gtx 970 g1 gaming edition

1.CPU is in the support list for mobo?
2.Bios version is valid for that CPU?
3.USB port correct?
4.File name must have short name and it must be CAP type.
5.Blinks must be 2 minutes long or so.
