To be honest, the 1231v3 would be fine with just its stock cooler. I was trying to stick with the color theme. It reviewed well, and isn't much louder than the very quiet Noctua NH-D14.

I have never liked the 980 as its price/performance is just not that good. The 970 isn't a whole lot slower, and costs a good deal less. The 390x is about even and is also cheaper.

FX 8350 for that much? Not a good idea. Keeping with color theme, as best I could, this would be a better buy. Even overclocked, an FX 8350 will not beat a 1231v3.

Seems like a solid build you suggest, will that graphics card be as good as the GTX I have listed? Also I am aiming for this to be semi quiet so which cools better water or air? I am open to both just want opinions thank you.
