Upgrade 280X to 390/390X?

Unless the 280x is not giving you a good enough gaming experience, I would strongly suggest to keep it as it is a great value-for-money card. However, if you DO need more gaming horsepower, I would suggest you wait for the release of the AMD Fury Non-X to see how it stands compared to other cards. Once the GPU market settles down, you will be able to make a good decision for your needs.

right now 290 is such a sweet deal for 1080p

390 is just overclocked 290 with more videoram
