Hi all,

I dont have PC right now beacuse iam upgrading from i7 4790k and 2x4gb DDR3 (i sell all parts)

I already bought the MSI MAG Z390 Tomahawk + Cooler MSI Frozr L (Promotion Gift) and Gskill 2x8Gb DDR4 3200Mhz now i need the CPU. I dont decide yet what i should buy 9700k or 9900k(?!)

I use my PC 90% for gaming.

already have MSI 1070 TI and my PSU Seasonic FOcus plus 750w Gold.

In my coutnry prices
8700k - 429€
9700k - 499€
9900k - 629€

Solution
Based solely on the 8600K's current very good performance (6 real cores, no hyperthreading), I'd suspect the 9700K *should* do fine/even better...(two extra cores, *and* higher clockspeeds...but, as most 8700K's hit 4.9 GHz on all coreswith no issues, it should at least match the 9700K in most games)

If the extra 130 Euros are not a significant obstacle, buy the 9900K...but, you might not see significant further gains without a GPU upgrade as well

I have 575€ for a CPU my question is the 9900k realy woth 629€? Or 9700k worth more for the price less 130€.

I pefer 9900k but 130€ more its money. Lol

For now i keep my 1070 ti i like the card have a good perormance i only play 1080p 60hz

Iam trying to find a online store in EU with a btter price for a 9900k but its not easy. In amazon have 9900k for 529$ ~460€ bur its from US and i need pay import fees ans taxes its more 140$~ 120€= 580€ no justify import its almost the same.

It depends. Are you only gaming? Then no it's probably not worth the extra money.

If you want the current best of the best and want to retain hyper-threading capability for streaming or whatever else, then yeah go with the 9900k.

In many peoples opinions none of the newer gpus/cpus are worth it because they are so over-priced. I agree. But, a lot of us still want the bleeding edge tech so we'll spend the money anyway.

Me personally? I'm getting the 9900k because I want a cool box.

That's a good question. I'm sure other people can answer that better than me. I've read mixed results but the consensus is generally more cores > virtual cores. And seeing how most games only use 4 cores anyway, I don't think it'll make much of a difference. Only thing I can think of is if you have some streaming or large background tasks going on, hyper-threading could possibly help you there. But 8 cores is 8 cores, it's more than enough.
