Upgrade A processor

I have a lenovo ThinkPad eduseries
And I want to manually upgrade from Intel celeron 2940
to celeron3060 or any better

well hate to burst your bubble, but unless you know for sure that CPU is NOT welded to the main board, your not going to "replace it" without change the complete motherboard with it.

1. those cpu's are always soldered onto the board
2. that upgrade will almost do nothing since both cpu's are really really weak
