On a budget, is it worth upgrading CPU and GPU? I can do one at a time. I can play most new games still just not very well. Like Stalker. I can play but shit graphics and loooooong loading times. Mostly Play RPG's though.
My system
Cpu
AMD RYZEN 5 1600

GPU
NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 1080 ti

MB
ASROCK AB350 K4 AM4

2X GSKILL F4 3000C15 8GB DDR4

Thank you for reading...

It's likely something either changing with the default TPM settings or it resets the TPM. As long as you're not using bitlocker with windows it should be fine.
I really appreciate your responses regardless of how dumb a few of my questions probably were! Turns out I could temp. disable TPM in the advanced BIOS setting . Flashing done .

Maybe someday I can buy you a pint...

I can understand why you might think they'd be stupid, but they're really not. So many things changed over the lifetime of AM4 and there are really weird things required for patching. The concept of having to install OS level software to properly update a BIOS was foreign to me until a handful of years ago.

A lot of these things do not make sense because documentation is so poor. I was just talking to a friend last week about how dumb BIOS patch notes are after seeing the new BIOS for my motherboard listed adding support for two things the last BIOS did too. Like what does that even mean?

I'd really love for documentation across the board to be a lot better because so much of the time it feels like it wouldn't take a lot to make things much more clear.

You should be able to get a cpu, ram, and 1TB ssd for less than 300, or the same but with a 2tb ssd for a little over 300. You will still need a GPU upgrade in the future, but youre better off waiting for the RX 9060, 9060 XT, or Intels B770 at the end of the year if it performs alright. Either way, you should probably plan to spend 3 - 400 or so for one of those, but the upgrades below should help you out in the interim.

This? How much performance loss on a 3.0 board?
