Hey guys, was hoping to get some advice on upgrades for my PC. Its a few years old now and wanting to upgrade my graphics card and HD to SSD and a new standard HD. I currently have:
I5-4440
H81M-E Motherboard
GTX 760
Not entirely sure on PS as I cannot look atm, but its a certainly over 700w.

Was going to just add and SSD and new HD as the old one is certainly lagging at this point. In terms of a graphics card I was going to go with a MSI GeForce RTC 2060 Ventus XS OC 6Gb GDDR6 Ray-Tracing. I have found it on scan for £335. Do you guys recommend other cards, or recommend any other upgrades? Cheers guys, sorry if this post is not up to par.

Hello, joeloc,

I think that you should upgrade your CPU to something like the i7-4790K and the GPU that you recommended is very good (the RTX 2060), so I think you should buy it.
Hey bud, I am a little hesitant to upgrade my CPU just as it gets super expensive. looking at another £350+ for an i7 as far as I can see anyways. I am not clued up really on the functions of the internal parts, but would you say an upgrade to my CPU is absolutely necessary? Thanks for the response btw!

Edit: It would probably be cheaper to get a new motherboard and go AMD I am guessing.

No, the CPU upgrade isn't completely necessary but it could help your PC'S perfromance.

I am guessing my CPU is very outdated. In regards to an upgrade in performance, would it be extremely noticeable gaming wise? I mean I have found a Intel Core i7 9700F, S 1151, Coffee Lake Refresh, 8 Core, 8 Thread, 3.0GHz, 4.7GHz Turbo, 12MB, w/o iGPU, 65W, CPU, Box for just over £300, it might be something I can look to invest in.

Edit: I am also a little confused. I have been looking at adding an SSD, the products I have seen have been from Scan and they all have different connections etc. In regards to the link below, can my motherboard use all of those.

I've realised about how Gens work in regards to CPU and I would essentially need to build a new PC to really make use of an i7 and the RTC card. Hmm a little stuck now.
