Hey I need support with booting from my Kingston A1000 M.2 NVME SSD on this system.

  • Intel Core i7-8700K
  • be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4
  • Palit GeForce GTX 1080 Ti JetStream
  • ASUS Prime Z370-P, Socket-1151
  • EVGA SuperNOVA 750 G3, 750W PSU
  • Corsair Vengeance LPX Black 32GB (2x16GB) / 3200MHz / DDR4 / CL16
  • Fractal Design Define R6 Blackout TG
  • Samsung hd103sj 1TB
  • Samsung SSD 840 EVO 250GB
I bought this system from a friend for 4000 SEK (less then 400$) wich has Windows 10 running on a SATA disk. I want to boot my M.2 Kingston 1 TB disk which has windows on it but it doesn't show up anywhere.

I'm currently going to read the manual for the motherboard 'ASUS Prime Z370-P' and see if it has anything helpful also I will turn the system of and identify which m.2 port the SSD is installed on so I can inform you. I ask for help because even if I read the manual I have little experience with m.2 and when I've read it hopefully the community which has a lot of XP will have written more helpful answers.

You will need to reinstall the OS on the NVMe SSD. You'll need to do so after backing up all mission critical data, recreate your bootable USB installer for the OS, then install the OS with all drives except the NVMe drive disconnected from the motherboard, in offline mode.
