Hello everyone! I was thinking of upgrading my I7-7700k and my Asrock z270 pro 4 motherboard (This motherboard doesn't support any higher generation). What would you advise to upgrade to? What is the most worthy affordable option? And if I sell my used motherboard and CPU. How much can I sell it for you reckon? I am looking for a cpu upgrade with the same performance as a Ryzen 5 5600x.

Best regards,

Jobjanusz

Standard questions:

How much can you spend?

Where are you? Can you provide a link to the stores you might buy from?

What is the primary purpose of this PC?

Value of your current PC depends on all parts included and depends on local market conditions and how badly you want to get rid of it. Try looking at similar PC on Ebay completed sales.

If all you need is motherboard, CPU, and RAM, you can do a pretty good upgrade for 500 dollars if in US.

I'm from The Netherlands. I don't what my budget is, but I would like to get a cpu upgrade with atleast the same performance as a ryzen 5 5600x. So a budget around a cpu and motherboard compared to that cpu. I dont know where Im going to buy the components. For now I'm just looking for suggestions. I am just looking for a cpu and mobo nothing more. Maybe if needed a new cpu cooler. The primary purpose of this pc is to play competitive csgo.
