Hi im new to Pc but ive done some research into it At the moment i have:
GPU: Nvidia GTX 1050 2Gb
CPU: Amd athlon x4 845
Mother Board:Gigabyte Technology Co. Ltd. F2A78M-HD2
Ram : 2x4Gb or ddr3 Ram
Power supply: 500W

I was wondering what to do to upgrade, Im looking to play rust on mid setting at the moment i play on roughly 50-60 fps(depending on Pop of server) but im looking to upgrade but wasn't sure whether to buy a new CPU or a new graphics card. i understand if i want to upgrade my cpu i would need to buy a new motherboard and ram as my motherboard has a FM2 or FM2 + (im not sure) but what would get me the most benefit in the short term as over time i will upgrade everything but i want to know what to change first

(My budget is around £300-£500)
any advise on what to upgrade fisrt and some examples

Solution
According to the game ( Rust) requirements, you are better to get the 16GB RAM, and don't make sense to buy other DDR3 RAM.

So you are better to upgrade the CPU/MB/DDR4 together, like:
PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant
CPU: AMD - Ryzen 3 1300X 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor (£104.97 @ Amazon UK)
Motherboard: MSI - A320M GRENADE Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard (£45.50 @ CCL Computers)
Memory: Corsair - Vengeance LED 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 Memory (£174.95 @ Aria PC)
Total: £325.42
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

Also I don't what PSU you had, because you need...

Also I don't what PSU you had, because you need the better brand PSU, if it is not the good one. Also you may get the Ryzen 3 2200G if you can find the store or someone update the BIOS for you, because most of the MB needs the BIOS update first to support the 2200G. Hi my PSU is not very good as it does not include a 6pin or 8 pin pci-e connector(For Graphics Card) but only has Molex and sata cable. could you reccomend any PSU that is decent and reliable I am not looking to max this thing out i just want it to be stable.
Many thanks for all the help <3
