Upgrade for new triple A titles

With Battlefield V approaching I would like to upgrade my pc to allow me to run the game in 1080p ultra settings at 60fps and above, (even 1440p if i can). First upgrading that is happening soon is my graphics card, I want to upgrade from a gtx 970 to a gtx 1080. Would that be enough to run BFV at 1080p or even 1440p full settings. Other than that I was wondering if it would be smart if I upgraded my CPU. Current CPU is a intel i7-4820K 3.7ghz. If I should what should I upgrade to, and do I have to upgrade my motherboard? Thanks

GPU: MSI GTX 970
CPU: intel i7-4820k 3.7ghz
Motherboard: Asus Sabertooth x79

as far as your cpu is i5 and above no need to upgrade your cpu better allocate your money to buy GPU and add more RAM if your RAM only 8 gigs

ram is 16 gigs, so save up some more then and get a gtx 1080ti and possibly a better monitor?
