Upgrade from 8GB GPU?

Hello!
I was wondering if I would get any significant gains concerning PC gaming if I upgraded from my 8GB card to a 11GB card of the same brand.

This is the one i own:

ASUS ROG STRIX GeForce GTX 1080 8GB GAMING

Sorry if i'm missing out specifics.

What resolution is your monitor, do you use VR? If so, which headset?

Thank you for answering.
With the few games i've played with this card i've used 2560x1440 in resolution, I think that is it's max.
With VR I will wait a while before I dive in to that.

At 1440p I can't see that 11GB will make any noticable difference over 8GB. 4k / VR maybe, but if you are sticking with 1440p for a while, I'd suggest saving your money.

You're not going to feel a huge difference between the 1080 and 1080 ti on 1440p(Maybe 5-10fps).
I would suggest you saving the money for later.
Ps. you can get a 4k playback using the 1080 😉
