Upgrade from 960T to 83xx?

I have AMD 960T 3.0Ghz luckily unlocked to 6 cores (1605T)
But I am thinking lately to upgrade to 83xx series. Low price is tempting.
I got my 960T just before release of FX CPUs, because i heard that FXs are 4 true cores + 4 wirtuall.
10xxT true 6core were sold out, so after research I got 960T, and lucky one.
My question, is it worth to upgrade to 83xx series (4 true cores, correct me if I'm wrong)
and get 4.5ishGhz overcloked, or should I stick with my true 6 core?
Of course I overclocked both 4 and 6 core stable (2h stress test... Ihave only one PC)
with mid range air cooler
x4 at 4.0Ghz
x6 at 3.7Ghz
x2 at 4.2Ghz
All in winter with room temp of 16c, and making sure to keep CPU under 62c (what is max OC temp of that CPU?)
I'm planning of doing some gaming (BF3), considering EVGA 660Ti, but mostly i need it for photoshop,
and video editing.
So I was out of the game for over a Year(even forgot the model of my mobo )
Is 83xx that much better than Zosma (or am I the lucky one to have it?) to consider getting it?

ON BOARD GRAPHICS FOR NOW 🙁
1TB SATA HDD (in the mail still )

I would be very careful when upgrading your cpu as you don't have a 9x0 series chipset motherboard.
There is a beta bios update according to the Asus website for bulldozer (81xx series cpu's) but does not list the newer piledriver cpu's (83xx series cpu's).

Go with the 83xx if your rendering videos. A GPU would definitely decrease your rendering times but other than that, game really dont require more than 4 cores. Stay with the 6 or go with the 8 core is you want that extra cpu power

I chose AMD for their upgrade ability, so having no doubt that it will work (in extreme circumstances I would have to get sabertooth 😉 )

4 true cores doesn't mean it will perform like a quad core. It performs like an 8 core because it is an 8core, with 8 threads. The FX 8350 is a very big improvement over the 6 core T series. You also will get more out of an overclock. The FX8350 is somewhere between the i5 3570k and i7 3770k in terms on general benchmarks with the i5 exceeding in gaming and i7 being alot beefier overall but not necessary for gaming right now. The 960T doesn't match up with these cpus performance wise, so even though the FX8350 has 4 visible cores it is a newer architecture, better design and will definitely be a step up from your current cpu.

4*** series are 2 modules with 2 cores per module = 4 cores.
6*** series are 3 modules with 2 cores per module = 6 cores.
8*** series are 4 modules with 2 cores per module = 8 cores.
Each modules has a 256bit FPU that can split to 2 128bit FPU if it needs to be.
