Good morning, I’m wanting to upgrade from a GTX 1050 to a GTX 1060 GPU. I have a prebuilt HP Pavilion 590-p0056. It has a 310w Proprietary PSU without a 6 pin connector. Do parts exist to make this work? HP has a 400w power supply that fits but I can’t find if there’s a 6 pin on it. Thanks in advance for the help.

I'm having a hard time finding a picture of the PSU for that model. Are you SURE it's proprietary and not just a standard ATX unit with a 24-pin motherboard connector?

Found this on the HP Pavilion 580 model, which appears to be standard ATX.

The PSU screws seem to be in the normal position in the video, so if the motherboard has the normal connectors then you can use almost any PSU on the market. I would recommend a good 500W one so it has some power to spare and it won't run as hot.

Hi, all, sorry for the late response. The PSU is slim form factor so a standard ATX unit will not fit. It also has 2 four pin connectors and a 7 pin for the PSU fan. That’s all there is to it for some reason. I’m away from the desktop or I’d take it out to show you. Here’s a video on it. Skip to 32:48 for the PSU.
