Upgrade from GTX 1060 for 4K

Hey there, I’m looking to upgrade from my GTX 1060 in order to better enjoy my 4K monitor. I have been gaming on it for about a year and a half or so and while some games are great, the newer titles are really starved for frames. I recently upgraded my cpu to an i7 (4700k I want to say, blanking on the model right now) which has helped a lot but some games are obviously still struggling and for the amount of money I’ve put into this PC I want it to run exceptionally well. Obviously the 1080 TI would be the logical choice for that, however that is a heavy cost to the bank account and I’m wondering if that is my only option or not. Any help would greatly be appreciated

Wait for 2080 ti and what psu do you have?
For 4k, you pretty much need 1080ti plus and even 1080 ti can not guarantee 4k ultra @ 60FPS...
