I need to upgrade my gtx650ti1gb to be able to run Battlefield 1.
Im not playing at 4k just a single 22" monitor at 1080.What GPU do you recommend for me to play on medium to high settings.
Budget is £150-200
My cpu is amdfx8350 with 8gbram

Solution
Dual fans will provide better cooling and slightly better game performance. 6GB will give you a few more game settings options. Games will still run fine with 3GB, but you will habe less high settings options.
Will both these cards be able to run new games that are released in the next couple of years?
I've got Battlefield 1 trial but multi-player won't load and bombs out, is this because my GPU isn't up to it? I can play Campaign ok

Your CPU is good enough for Battlefield 1.
It is your graphics card that is holding you back.
You could try launching it at 1280x720 windowed mode and see if that works.
Probably wait for the next hot fix driver from Nvidia too just to confirm its not a driver problem.

Video here of FX 8350 running the game with GTX 1060 very well https://youtu.be/DVDo1C9tTso

Once you have a new graphics card its more likely going to be your CPU that holds you back in future Battlefield titles. So I recommend planning to buy a new system in the next two years.

As far as how future proofed those graphics cards are. You could probably run them until they break if your goal is medium-high 1080P. With graphics cards there is always the option to lower resolution to 1600x900 as well if a really graphically demanding title appears.

I'm debating whether to get the 1060 6gb or 3gb?
I can spend the extra £50 on the 6gb but is it worth it? Will the 3gb need upgrading in a few years to play the latest games? Also should I get a mini with 1 fan or one with 2, my case can fit dual fans.

I'd go with the 6GB card just for longevity. Games aren't going to be using less VRAM in the future! What's the price of an RX 480 8GB in your market? That should be considered as well if its around the same price as the GTX 1060 6GB.
