Upgrade from razer krakens

I want to get into better audio quality and my Razer Kraken 7.1s just broke. I am looking for a better sound up to $150 for everything. I am wondering what headphone dac/amp system I should get. I listen mostly to rock, and I also game in CSGO. I also mostly use Ubuntu but will also use windows from time to time.

If you play CSGO and listen to something with instruments (rock is a good example), I recommend a set of open air headphones like the AD900x:

Look for similar open air head sets since they have a bigger sound stage. Really important when listening for footsteps or movemnt in CSGO. Downside is that it is much louder because the drivers are not sealed. People can definitely hear the music of game if they are in the room

Not really since the impedance is at 38ohms for the ad900x. If more than 70-80, you will need one. Best bet is to test out the headphone on your laptop and buy an amp afterwards if needed. I know it works well on older macs (circa 2010) since I use pair to video edit.
