Upgrade GPU or CPU?

I'm planning on upgrading my computer on black friday and I'm still undecided on what I should really be upgrading first or if I should upgrade it at all. Right now my gpu is a msi r9 380 4g and my cpu is a amd fx-8320 which I plan on overclocking. I want to get a gtx 1070, but I've been looking at how much performance I should expect to lose staying with that cpu and tbh it has me worried. So I'm wondering if it's worth dishing the extra like $300 on a mobo/cpu or just stick with the fx 8320 or even downgrade to a gtx 1060 and upgrade cpu/mobo. Thank you for any replies/help it is appreciated.

I would get the 1070 then save up for a switch to intel in the future. The 1070 will still do maxed out 60fps 1080p/1440p in pretty much any game even with the 8320, its with a high refresh rate 1080p or 1440p panel where you would really see how a fx processor will hold back a card like a 1070, if you are aiming for 60fps the 8320 still does okay. I just picked up a 1060 for my fx 6350 system until I have the cash to upgrade to intel, most games perform just fine some better than expected.

Honestly that's what I was thinking to just stick with it and wait to upgrade cpu. I'll probably just do that, thank you for the reply.

Yeah, you will see a larger performance upgrade replacing the 380 with a 1070 than you would replacing the cpu with say an i5 or i7 and keeping the 380. So the gpu is what I would upgrade first personally. And no problem.
