[SOLVED] Upgrade graphics card for gaming

I am looking to update my pc with a decent video card to give to my son. He would use this pc for gaming but i am not looking for something to crazy. any on have a good recommendation on a decent video card? I current have a PCI Express 2.0 x 16 or 3.0 x 16 slots available on my mother board.

It currently has the following.
ASRock H77M LGA 1155 Intel H77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard
Intel Core i5-3570K Ivy Bridge Quad-Core 3.4GHz
XFX ProSeries P1-450S-X2B9 450W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80
EVGA GeForce 8400 GS DirectX 10 01G-P3-1302-LR 1GB 64-Bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card

I'm about to sell one actually. Moving to an rx 580 I got for just over 100.

This gives an idea what the 470 vs 1050ti is like. 570 is about 10-15% better I think.

GTX 1050 Ti vs RX 470 4GB

I know you can't really compare Nvidia with AMD but is the RX 470 4GB as good as the 1050 Ti? Because where I live the RX 470 costs more than the 1050 Ti. And the 480 is even more expensive so I'm not gonna buy that one. I'm on a really small budget, I currently have a Radeon HD7870 Tahiti (more...

The one you just linked has a dual fan design whereas the one Mr. Spock linked has a single fan. The dual fan design is much better and for the five star review with a $10 off coupon for 120 bucks, I'd say that's a great deal. However, it might be worth it to invest a little bit more money into an 8gb variant.
