Hi everyone, I come from an i5 7600k with a gigabyte z270 hd3p, Gskill ram of 2400 mhz and a 1070ti. I decided to improve my build and get the new i7 8700k with a gigabyte z370 aorus gaming k3, keeping the other parts. The problem now is that all the games run worse. For example, with the previous build I got 70-80 fps in The Witcher 3 at ultra settings, but now im getting just 40 or 50 with a better cpu. The same with another games, and also with PCSX2 emulator where all the games are unplayable, when before all the games obtain always the max fps.

I have the latest version of gpu, motherboard drivers, and also update the bios.
My O.S is the windows 10, and I have already done a clean install after the hardware upgrade.

What is the problem? Thanks!

When you booted from dvd or flash drive. When it got to windows setup, did you highlight the partitions and delete all of them first

yes, I'm using msi afterburner. The gpu and cpu in idle are 38º and 29º respectively. In full load the temps of cpu goes to 50º as maximum, and the gpu 70-75º. My cooler is Thermaltake water 3.0 extreme S.

The core speed is 4400 mhz.

What do yo mean exactly with delete all the partitions? I simply deleted everything contained in the hard drives, including the O.S, and then reinstalled the O.S again.
