Hey Guys,

I need some help choosing an upgrade path. I play a lot of high-end games and i want to be able to play Battlefield 3, MW3 and the new Elder Scrolls game, thats just to mention a few on max settings. I'm currently only running them at 1400 x 1050, in the next couple of weeks i will be upgrading my monitor and i will be running them at 1920 x 1080 full HD.

My current set-up is:

AMD Phenom II X4 840 Quad-Core CPU
Asus M4N68T-M
4GB DDR3 1600MHZ Memory
Geforce 550 TI OC

Currently i have been able to play any game i have thrown at it maxed no problem. But with battlefield 3, MW3 and elder scrolls i dont know how well i will be able to play them on max setting considering it will be full HD. I want to play them on max setting :p

I will be upgrading but im not sure which way to go. Should i upgrade My motherboard and put another 550 Ti in SLI? Will that give me the boost im looking for?

If i dont go with SLI i was thinking this setup:

Intel Core I5 2500
Gigabyte Z68A-D3H-B3
4GB DDR3 1600MHZ
550 TI OC

Will that setup give me the boost im looking for? I would add a second card a few months down the road.

Just to be clear, I want to know which of the 2 options i have provided will benifit me the most.

Thanks for all you help

Well including a 27" HD monitor, and a new case it was going to be around $950 Depending which path i choose.

My current setup is:

AMD Phenom II X4 840 3.2GhZ
Asus M4N68T-M
4GB DDR3 1600MHZ
MSI Geforce 550 TI cyclone OC
1.5TB Western Digital Hard-drive

I was also thinking about keeping my current build and just upgrading the graphics card to a Radeon 6970 2GB card, I know that card will let me play the games i want on the setting i want.

I would like to know what my other two options will do for me first before i decide.
