Upgrade laptop's keyboard to a backlit one

I popped the keyboard out of my Dell Latitude 3550 laptop one day because I was bored and saw that there was a connector on the motherboard for a keyboard's backlight. This made me wonder, is there a way to buy a keyboard that is backlit to connect it? Do keyboards have standards to make them semi-interchangeable?

What I assume this means is that there is another model by Dell that uses the same motherboard, but has a keyboard with a backlight. My question is, would it be possible to install a keyboard with a backlight? The connector is accessable right under the keyboard, so it looks like it.

What model is your laptop? You can always go into ebay and see if you can find a keyboard with a backlight for your model. Models between manufacturers are not interchangeable so you have to buy the one for your model. If there isn't one, then you're outta luck.
