Hi everyone,

Was hoping for some advice on upgrading my current pc.

Over Christmas got a new tv the LG 65C9 which is 120hz 4K and supports Gsync.

Here is my current PC, it’s a copy and paste from an advert when I was going to sell it but didn’t so it had the current prices from amazon at the time.

My plan atm is to wait for Nvidia to release the new generation and either get a new card or the 2080ti depending on how it stacks up against the new card with price/performance.

So my question really is, is it fine to just get one of those new cards and stick it in this build or what else would you upgrade? Is it time to upgrade my motherboard and cpu as well?

PC is only used for gaming and media consumption.

Thanks in advance.
- I am open to overclocking and have dabbled in the past, when I play games currently my 980ti is overclocked using msi afterburner.
-no real budget just want to be smart and build something that’s going to be future proof, this build has already done me a good few years.
