Hi!
I've found my old Presario V6000 (V6111EA) laptop in the cabinet a month ago. It has a T2050 Core duo processor, and 1GB ram, intel gma945 chipset.
Since old used laptop parts are very cheap nowdays, I've planned to boost its performance.
The modifications:
New processor: Core 2 Duo T7200 ~10$
Memory upgrade: 4 gigabyte (2x2GB) ~20$
SSD: Samsung 850EVO 120GB (my desktop computer's old SSD so technically it costs "nothing")
Core2Duo supports 64bit operation systems, so all 4GB ram are usable.
All the upgrades worth it's price. It is still not a gamer PC, but it runs every programs much faster (even with the old HDD before the ssd ugrade).
I use chell v1.8 video driver.
I tried WoW The burning crusade with every settings low/off. It is playable if you don't have high expectations. (~40 fps average outside, but under 25 in Stormwind, and high population areas.
