Hello, I want to upgrade my father's PC to allow him to play without too many restrictions, especially on Microsoft Flight Simulator. Currently it has the following configuration:
  • Power Supply : CX500
  • Motherboard : Gigabyte B360 HD3
  • Memory : 4x4Go DDR4 Gskill 2666mhz
  • CPU : G5400
  • GPU : GTX 760 MSI It will be replaced by a GTX 1060 6GB KFA2 (Because I just bought an RTX 3070 for my PC)
  • SSD / HDD : 240Go SSD and 2 To HDD
  • Monitor : 2 x 27" HP 60hz
I wanted to buy an i5 9400F but it got very expensive in the European market.
Another solution would be to change the motherboard and the processor for 260 € with a B460 and an i5 10400f but I'm not sure that's interesting. There is also the possibility for 250 € to buy an i7 9700f.

What do you think ?

I'm looking for the best value for money to upgrade this PC, thank you in advance for your advice :)

B560 is better, allows for memory overclocking on CPUs capable of faster speeds. Difference between running 2933 as a maximum on 10th gen vs 3200 and up to 3600 or so.

Which board is actually better is hard to say without the specific models, but if they are both budget boards, newer is typically better.

You want a board with good power control for overclocking. Those tend to be the most expensive, though. The cheapest ones aren't as good for overclocking, but are adequate for running non-K CPU's at stock speeds.

@Joseph_138 @Eximo thanks for your advices
I can buy a B460M Bazooka motherboard from MSI guaranteed 6 months at 33.95 € with an i5 10400f in new condition at 134.95 €.

Associated with a cpu cooler: Cooler master TX3

Do you think it's a good choice, the price / performance ratio seems quite interesting to me. In the future it will always be possible for me to monitor an offer on an i7 10700 or an i9 10900.
