I have decided to upgrade my laptop (Dell N5010) by upgrading the ram (from 4gb to 8gb) and by replacing my shit hard drive to an SSD drive. My laptop is 3.5 years old so I am not looking for the best possible products that might be expensive too. I just want to upgrade it to last another 2 years maybe. So I have found some products that meet my budget and my requirements and I want to know want do you suggest to buy. FIRST PRIORITY IS THE PERFORMANCE

For SSD:
Prices go up and down every day so don't give too much attention to that. All are range between £70-£90

1) Intel 335 Series Jay Crest SSDSC2CT180A4K5 2.5" 180GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Thanks in advance !!!

If your first priority is performance, for SSD I would honestly go with none of the above. The reliability of Intel drives is ridiculously overstated and they use the crappy outdated Sandforce 2.0 controller that most Kingston drives also use. The Sandisk is decent but for the price you can definitely get better. The only selling point for that Kingston drive is the price, but that's about it.

Here's what I would suggest:

- Samsung 840 Evo: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA2W01AZ5550
- Samsung 840 Pro (uses proprietary controller) : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820147193
- Crucial M550 (uses next gen Marvell controller) : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148791
- OCZ Vertex 460 (uses proprietary Indilinx controller) : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820228106
- Plextor M5S: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820249024

Any of those will be infinitely better than the original choices.

Intel drives are as reliable as it gets. I assume you're talking about the teething problems which were fixed early on with firmware updates. and as far as sandforce goes my vertex 3 and intel 530 have been serving me for a long time 😀
imo If you are thinking of buying any SSD you;d have to check If one is faster or better at something, by how much and how much and how much will that affect your usage

I have purchased samsung evo 250gb

I have to choose between those rams, what do you suggest?
