I'm considering to upgrade my Packard Bell Easynote lj65 CPU. The current one is an Intel Core2 Duo T6400 2.0 GHZ. Is it worth to upgrade? If yes, which model would be the best one. I found a list of compatible processors but the maximum I get is a 2.6 Ghz with the T9500. Is There any other with higher Processor Base Frequency and Cache? Would the T9600 be compatible? Here is the comparison: https://ark.intel.com/compare/33918,35563,40479

Thanks in advance.

Solution
Not as easy as that.

You need to discover exactly what type of mount that CPU is. Surface mount (BGA) or socket mount.
This may involve opening it up and looking at the actual motherboard.
If it is a surface mount, stop right there.
You can't change that.

If it is socket mounted, then you'll need to discover if the actual motherboard and BIOS can accept a different CPU.
Probably not.

Lastly...if you CAN actually change it, and if the motherboard CAN accept a better CPU, you'll discover that any new CPU that you can put in it is not really much better than what is in it now.

Bottom line - It is almost certainly not worth the effort to even discover if you can.
