Yes, you can use just about any card you can afford if that is a good quality 800W PSU. But the the little dual core CPU won't be able to keep up with a much faster card. Maybe a GTX 1050 or RX 560. Even there, you'd have some CPU bottleneck if you game.

Hi,

After spent hours reading forums and comparing, I have decided to change my CPU to i5-2500 and GPU to R9 370. Its within my budget and checked their compatibility for bottleneck at
https://pc-builds.com/calculator/Core_i5-2500/Radeon_R9_370/0cX0TXf2/8/

I think it should work fine. Feel free to comment if it wont work out.

That should be an improvement, but which R9-370 are you looking at? I ask because the 370 was normally designated an R7-370. Unless this is some proprietary design, the 370 wasn't in the R9 class.

Even the R7-370 would be about a 100% to 150% improvement over the GTX 650. And the 3.7 GHz quad core is a major upgrade over the 2.9GHz dual core for most tasks.

Im able to find both R7 370 and R9 370 in ebay and I found one local store selling R9 370 with good price. Might go for it.

I did a little more research on the R7-370 vs the R9-370 and found that they are the same card with the same clocks. For some reason, proprietary PC builders designated the card as the R9.

Yes there are almost the same R9-370 is OEM version of R7-370. I have bought them. Will assemble and test my new upgrade this week (excited).

Thanks for your quick respond and great help @clutchc (y)
