[SOLVED] Upgrade of pc

I have a 4690 or 4790 i5 3.2ghz 16gb DDR3 Ram and a GTX970.
I would like to upgrade to play newer games. Would it be enough to upgrade the graphics, og so i need a new pc?
What would i need to run at 144hz?

A new GPU will work fine as long as you have a quality PSU. Playing at 1080p anything from a 1660ti or better will be good
