Upgrade on i5 3470

Hello, so i have been upgrading my computer piece by piece and i'm at the point where my cpu isn't running as fast as my gpu. I know i want to upgrade, but i am honestly not sure what to upgrade to that would be compatible with my motherboard and run smoothly with my graphics card. Here are my specs:

Computer Specs:
Motherboard: Asus Intel P8H77-I Mini ITX Motherboard
PSU: Corsair CX Series 500 Watt ATX/EPS Modular 80 Plus Bronze
CPU: Intel i5-3470 Quad Core 3.2 GHz
GPU: MSI GTX 970
CPU Cooler: Corsair Hydro H55 Liquid Cooler
Case: BitFenix Prodigy mini-ITX Case

Also, i am pretty sure that if i upgrade, i will need to upgrade my power supply to a higher wattage, so any recommendations on a sufficient power supply that fits a mini-ITX case would also be really helpful. Thanks

That CPU will not bottlneck a 970.

I wouldn't put anymore money into upgrades.

The only "upgrades" that are compatible with your current motherboard would be the I5-3570(K) or the I7-3770(K), which, in my opinion, are not worth the cost. Either way, these processors require the exact same amount of power as you current CPU does (77watts). You would not need to upgrade your power supply.

So as far as internal parts, there is no need to upgrade anything?

8GB of RAM if you don't have it already. Maybe an SSD, but as far as core components, I'd say you're good to go.

That i5 cpu is NOT bottlenecking the GTX 970 in no way shape or form........ its a really strong gaming pc cpu, yes there is better but the margins are minimal, it really is a very good cpu, im running on a core i5 3470s (2.9ghz base clock, with turbo boost up to 3.6ghz ( stays around 3.5GHZ (2 cores) on most games, and it is a little beast of a chip. I believe yours is 3.2ghz base clock with up to 3.6ghz turbo boost, and should also run around 3.5ghz(2 cores) in most games or 3.20ghz (4 cores) in other games, its not the frequency of the cpu that matters is the massive single core performance of the cpu that trumps even the FX-8350 "8-core" at 4.0ghz..... like seriously, intel cpu are so much better....the only upgrade i would even consider if i already had a corei5 3rd gen, would either be a 4th gen minimum i7 4 core 8 thread or a 6 core 12 thread i7
