Question Upgrade pc vs buying ps5

I play at 1080p

My pc
MB Asus h97 pro gamer
RAM 16gb corsair 1600 mhz
CPU 4790K @4.6GHZ
GPU msi gtx 1070 8gb
PSU corsai rmi 750w

Im saving some money I thinking maybe next year do some upgrade or buy a ps5

Any advice/recommendation?

2 totally different ballparks.
PC has far more utility than console, even if games are all you assembled it for.

I would look at console like you're looking to expand the current game library with any exclusive titles it offers, however many that actually is.

(1) 500€ worth of upgrade in 2021
Maybe cpu+mb+ram
Or a new gpu

(2)i buy a ps5 for exclusives only and I keep my pc for the rest of the games,
Im happy with the performance I get now, only a few games need to lower the settings I can run most games maxed at 1080p

I can't go any further than 500€ for 2021

Get the PS5 ... you have GTX 1070 , so go for PS5 Exclusives and enjoy both worlds.

More over , PS5 is like RTX 2070 performance ...

Do you have any reason to pick a pc over console? I use both but if I had to keep one for gaming I’d pick pc for the keyboard and mouse. If you were into modding that may be another reason to go pc. If you don’t have a reason to go pc then console may be the better option for that budget.

With how ridiculous things are now - if it were me - I'm considering just skipping this generation.

I think it depends on how many exclusive there will actually be, and if they're even your cup of tea or not.
I haven't been on console for several years. The last one was the Wii, and most of that was spent playing Smash Bros, Metroid Prime, and Need for Speed... everything else, I could already do on PC, via emulators(if you know where to look; can't really discuss that here).


For me, at least, the PC's versatility overshadowed console exclusives.

I'd say keep the pc and buy a PS5. for 1080p, you've got a pretty decent rig. 60-75fps on every title at Ultra. PS5 will get you access to PS exclusive games if you like that

Games are also cheaper on PC. Saying that though I will be going with a ps5.
