Upgrade processor for more speed

Solution
The motherboard make/model can usually be found in the instruction manual... if it's still lying around.
Or open the case up and look for it printed on the board.

Also, Dell XPS what? There's usually a number after the model name.

Regardless, there isn't a worthwhile upgrade available to you without having to buy a brand new setup.

3392mhz cpu speed, and Windows 7. Sounds to me like your cpu is an i7 2600k. Assuming that motherboard, whatever it is, has the bios to handle it, an i7 2700k would be the best cpu you could upgrade to. It would not be worth the effort to upgrade to this cpu.

A better idea would be to either get a better gpu, or just save until you can afford to build a better system.

Dell XPS is the make/model of the desktop. For the motherboard, it's usually printed on the board itself(you'll have to open it up and see).
But urbancamper would be correct in that the cpu is an I7 2600k.
Unfortunately, there isn't a logical upgrade available for that board. You could get a 1060 6gb, and overclock your current cpu a little, if you haven't already... if that option is even available in the bios.

Is it Dell XPS 8700, give us model number. Have you upgraded anything (video card or power supply)? If yes, model for each new part.
Until then - no answer, we can not guess what you have.

There is a slight chance that CPU could be upgraded to 2600K, but it is risky ( i seen a few confirmations of this, but not very professional ones, so I question those).. If successful, there is a way to overclock it in Dell using Throttlestop, which is also a risky business.
Nothing else can be done in this case.
