Question Upgrade RAM in MSI GF 63 Thin 9SCR

Hi,​

I have the above laptop with i7 - 9th gen and RAM of 8GB - 2666MHZ DDR4 . I wish to upgrade . My options are
1. Buy another 8GB with same specs and try Dual channel .
2. Buy another 16 GB and use a total of 24 GB or remove the 8GB and use just the 16 GB . I am not sure how this will work , maybe get some insight in this matter.
3. Buy a dual channel kit 8GB X 2 and use the 16 GB by removing the previous 8GB RAM .
which options do you think is the best for me .

would go with the 1st option, cheapest and most likely working
2 is not recommended, should work, but can´t see a big advantage
3 more expensive, most likely no difference to 1

I personally would do a 2x16gb kit. You can get them for around $50.
