Upgrade Ram on Laptop

I have an HP laptop with an AMD A6-6310 APU with AMD Radeon R4 Graphics processor (Quad-core) clocked at 1.8ghz with 4gb ram. Can I increase the ram and if so, by how much ? and also would it be worth it and make it run faster/smoother. Thanks in advance.

So I would recommend upgrading the hard drive to a ssd for even faster prefromance as far as the ram goes yes it will show slight improvements but the ssd will show more here’s a ram and ssd compatibility checker from crucial find your model and check compatible ram.
