I want to upgrade the GPU on my Dell Inspiron 5680 from an Nvidia GeForce 1060 6gb to an Nvidia GTX 1660 TI which consumes 120w. I am trying to find out how many cable plugs are on my PC, without having to disconnect the GPU. I want to ensure that whatever new card I buy will fit and will be compatible.
The CPU on this PC is an Intel i7-8700.

Thank you Any suggestions welcome.

Considering I don't think there's any GTX 1060 that didn't require a PEG power cable, the 1660 Ti's weren't too big, and the case looking roomy enough, I don't think there would be an issue here. But always verify by actually looking at what you computer has.

Generally speaking the 1060s were single 6-pin, and if it's an OEM model I'd be shocked if it was 8-pin. 1660 Ti on the other hand is definitely an 8-pin powered card.

You'll need to open up your case and find out if there's more than one PCIe connector and count the cables going into your existing video card. If you only have a single PCIe power connector and it is a 6-pin then do not get a video card that requires an 8-pin.
