Upgrade to 4690k or 4790k?

I'm soon upgrading my CPU and wondering whether to go with a 4690k or 4790k. I play mostly AAA games with some exceptions (Minecraft, Ark). Would the extra hyperthreads and/or cache really help with games, both now and in the next 2-3-4 ish years? Thanks

if your talking about keeping it for the next 3-4 years, check out the 5820k. also what cpu do you have currently?

No, just getting a new CPU and mobo. I'm willing to reinstall windows and everything, I just need advice on the CPU.
