Upgrade to a gtx 960 or 970?

Hello everybody,
i am currently thinking of upgrading my current GPU to one of the 2 mentioned abouve..i wuold like some input please as to whether one or the other will be the best option for a 1920x1080 resolution

also if my current config are compatible or not

My Current Configuration:

CPU: Intel Core i5 4670 @ 3.40GHz
GPU: 2GB ATI AMD Radeon HD 7770
MOBO: Gigabyte Z87X-UD3H-CF
RAM: 8GB
Hard Disk: 1TB Western Digital WDC

I would not wait, because, as stated above, technology is constantly changing, so waiting for the 'next big thing' will never end.

The GTX 960 is the best card at a 'budget PC' standard. It can run games at 1080p at 60fps sometimes, depending on how demanding the games are.

The GTX 970 is considered the sweet spot for 1080p gaming in terms of price-to-performance. Anything more, like the 980, begins to become too expensive for what you get in return.

It really depends on how much you want to spend. But basically, get the GTX 970 if you can afford it. It's MUCH better than the 960


No, that's totally not worth it. In the computer world, there is no reason to be waiting 6 months for a product to be released. Once Pascal is released, the next better thing will be coming out 12 months later, so you might as well just never buy a graphics card.
