Question Upgrade to AM5 or to a RTX 4070 super

Help me I want to upgrade my build with 600 usd. What will be better to upgrade to AM5 or to upgrade to a 4070 super?

My specs are:

Ryzen 5600x
2x8gb RAM
RTX 3060 TI

My monitor is a 1440p 165hz

Since you have the RTX3060Ti, the upgrade wouldn't be worthwhile with the RTX4070 Super. In fact you should be fine as is...though what does the rest of your specs look like?

include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time.

A Zen 3 CPU should be able to push a 1440p resolution north of 120 frames for most games. What do you feel your PC is lacking? What games run too slow specifically?

According to the power supply but would probably update to the better graphics card alongside a bump up to at least 32GB of RAM.

In my own world I would wait out the AM5 until after 9000 releases and they start running hard to resist sale prices on 7xxx.

edit- bet you will be able to get a song of a deal on some 14th gen Intel...

As you are on 1440p, I would say yes to a gpu upgrade. The 3060ti's 8gb vram buffer is quickly becoming and issue for 1440p. Not a fan of the 12gb buffer on the 4070 super either. A 7900gre is nearly as fast, and has a 16gb, and easily $50 cheaper. Take that $50 and get a 32gb kit of ram.
