Question Upgrade to Samsung 860 EVO?

I'm considering reusing my good old Samsung 840 Pro 128 gb ssd from 2013-14 in a new build. Should I consider upgrading to the 860 EVO since SSDs are pretty cheap now? I mainly do some light gaming and general use only. The SSD is mainly an OS drive; I have a 1TB HDD for storage as well.

I'm still running 2 840's , no need to upgrade unless they are slowing down or having issues. Can't hurt though since SSD's are a great deal presently.

The 250 GB SSDs and above, particularly the 500 GB units, are at the very nice price/performance ratio right now, and, are indeed a bit faster than the smaller SSDs. (As to if you would actually notice the differences in boot times, application launch times, that is debatable). If you need more storage /space on your OS drive (understandable, as 128 GB does not seem to go as far as it once did!), then the 860 EVO and Crucial MX500 models are the standard 'go to' recommendations for those shopping for larger/ newer SSDs...
